She graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania in 1972, and received her medical degree from Hahnemann Medical College (now part of Drexel University) in 1976. Dr. Harris completed her internship and residency at NYU Medical Center, where she is currently affiliated as a Clinical Assistant Professor. In 1991, Dr. Harris co-authored “Recovering from a Hysterectomy”.
Dr. Harris is currently a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Disease for her original research on vulvodynia-related small fiber neuropathy. She is an active member of the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, International Pelvic Pain Society, National Vulvodynia Association and The New York Gynecologic Society.
Dr. Harris has devoted her 30 year career to providing quality medical care. She combines excellent diagnostic and therapeutic skills while exercising great empathy and compassion for her patients. She has been named to the Top Doctors lists in New York by both New York Times Magazine and Super Doctors, as well as America’s Top Doctors through Castle Connolly for over 10 years.
