Dr. Zaw Maung is a board-certified physician trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital currently practicing in the San Francisco Bay Area. Dr. Maung earned his medical degree (MD) from University of Central Florida and Masters of Public Health (MPH) from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health with certification in Health Leadership and Management. He started out his training in mental health, completing internship and PGY-2 in Psychiatry at the University of California Davis Medical Center.
Dr. Maung has background in broad clinical settings including: mental health, non-operative orthopedic injuries, chronic pain management, maritime health, urgent care, employee health, travel medicine, toxicology, work-related pulmonary and neurological illnesses and diseases.
Dr. Maung is dedicated to helping individuals recover from injuries and illnesses, allowing them to perform optimally at work and at home. Dr. Maung believes not only in treatment but also in prevention through environmental design and modifications, at home and at the workplace, to prevent injuries, illnesses, chronic conditions and promote overall health.
