Dr. Zheng’s clinical interests are acid reflux, various digestive issues, colon cancer screening, specifically non surgical polyp and flat lesion removal to prevent colon cancer, as well as early noninvasive detection and management of fatty liver and NASH, in order to prevent non reversible liver damage leading to liver failure and cancer later on in life.
As a gastroenterologist, Dr. Zheng also has the knowledge and experience to help people live a long and healthy life. In her spare time, she leads multiple East Bay community initiatives designed to help people with fatty liver, obesity and metabolic syndrome. She is also the founder of IHLI (International Healthy Liver Institute), a nonprofit to promote liver health.
Dr. Zheng believes what makes a good doctor is always remembering that patients are more than just a list of medical problems and medications. With that in mind, her priority is spending ample time with all her patients and discussing all available options so that her patients can make their own informed decisions about their care. Little or no waiting room time for office visits as well as procedures, and typically longer appointments when needed. Dr. Zheng offers night and weekend appointments. In addition to traditional in person office visits, Dr. Zheng also provides care remotely (via video visit). Office staff are bilingual in Spanish and Dr. Zheng is fluent in Chinese.
“I’m Dr. Yi (Jenny) Zheng. I'm here for you everyday, day and night”.
