About Walter Ball, OD
Dr. Walter Ball is an experienced optometrist with a demonstrated history of working in the hospital & health care industry. He is a strong business development professional skilled in Medical Devices, Eyewear, Contact Lenses, Dry Eye, Public Health and Public Speaking. Currently he is an independent eye care provider based in Jacksonville, Florida. Prior, from March 2011 until April 2020, Dr. Ball was Professional Education and Development Director at a leading medical device company specializing in the manufacturing of contact lenses, intraocular lens implants and dry eye diagnostic and treatment devices. From June 2003 until March 2011, Dr. Ball practiced optometry at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Joslin Diabetes Center, teaching hospitals of Harvard Medical School. While in Boston, he also held the rank of assistant professor at the New England College of Optometry. Dr. Ball provided comprehensive eye care and participated in resident, student and nursing staff education. In 2017, Dr. Ball completed the Master of Public Health degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a concentration in health policy and management.
