Vivian C. Aguilar, MD, is a Board Certified Physician specializing in Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery. Prior to starting Belva Vida Urogynecology, she worked at reknowned institutions including Cleveland Clinic Florida Division and the University of Texas in Austin, TX. She was a leader in education, research and a "TOP DOCTOR" in Austin and Florida. Before joining Cleveland Clinic in 2007, she worked at several other prominent hospitals and medical schools, including Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, New York University School of Medicine in New York, Robert Wood Johnson Medical Center in New Brunswick, N.J., and Saint Peter's University Hospital, also in New Brunswick, where she was Director of Research in the Division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Aguilar obtained her undergraduate degree at Barnard College of Columbia University in NYC. She went on to obtain her medical degree from the State University of New York School of Medicine Health Sciences Center at Stony Brook, N.Y. She then went on to complete a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital in Upstate New York and a fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery at Brown University’s Women & Infants’ Hospital of Rhode Island. Dr. Aguilar is licensed to practice medicine in Florida and Texas. She is an active member in national and international Urogynecological societes.
