About Veronica Diaz, MD
A native of Miami, Dr. Diaz graduated from Princeton University with a degree in Molecular Biology. At Princeton, she was a member of The Tiger Inn and of the Women’s Varsity Swimming and Water Polo Teams. Dr. Diaz earned her medical doctorate from the University of Florida and completed her Orthopedic Surgery residency at the University of Miami. She completed a Fellowship in Hand & Upper Extremity Surgery in Pittsburgh. She is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons and American Society for Surgery of the Hand, and an Active Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
Dr. Diaz is an Assistant Team Physician for the Washington Nationals. She has presented her research at national meetings, is published in several peer-reviewed journals, and holds several clinical advisory and consulting positions. Her interests outside of surgery include travel, reading, surfing, and sustainability practices in health care delivery.
