Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

Susan M. Santarpia, Ph.D., ABSNP, BCN is a licensed Psychologist in the states of NY and Hawaii as well as a New York State certified School Psychologist. Dr. Santarpia earned a MA from the State University at Buffalo in School Psychology and a Ph.D. from Walden University in Clinical Psychology. Dr. Santarpia is board certified in both School Neuropsychology and Neurofeedback. She has post doc experience and training in neuropsychology and provides neuropsychological assessment and program development for cognitive rehabilitation. Specialization also includes conflict resolution therapy with couples and families. She was an integral member and court liaison for the Parent and Children in Transition (PACT) program co-sponsored by Erie County Supreme and Family courts. Recently appointed to the Court Roster Mediator for Family Court 8th Judicial District’s Roster of ADR Neutrals. She also conducts assessments for Industrial Medicine Associates that include Social Security Disability, VESID, Rail Road Retirement, and Veteran’s service connection evaluations.

Previous work includes Adjunct Professor for the State University of NY at Buffalo (UB) teaching graduate level Functional Neuroscience, History and Systems of Psychology, Infant/Pre-school Assessment, and the Practicum supervision course. As well as work at Veteran’s Administrative Hospital, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Cantalician Center for Learning, Research Institute on Addictions, and New Directions Youth & Family Services, Wyndham Lawn campus. Pre-doctoral and post-doctoral experience includes work with Dent Neurologic Institute. Training and advanced training include:
