About SUMANT LAMBA, MD
Making a difference in someone’s heart is the reason that Dr. Sumant Lamba is in medicine. When Dr. Lamba was a child in India, he paid special attention to his father’s medical practice and decided to become a doctor himself.

“I have always been fascinated with the heart,” says Dr. Lamba, “My father is also a physician and I saw, through him, how much you can help people.”

Today, Dr. Lamba is the Director of Coronary Interventions. He works with a team of 15 people to provide expert care for patients with heart conditions.

Dr. Lamba began his formal education at the University of Pune in Maharashtra, India. He continued his studies at Meerut Medical College, where he became the house officer for cardiology. Upon moving to the United States, Dr. Lamba enrolled at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. While at Wright State, he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in heart failure and cardiology. Dr. Lamba also completed a fellowship in heart failure and cardiac transplantation at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine and learned about interventional cardiology at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. He then served professionally at three hospitals: Good Samaritan in Dayton, the University of Kentucky in Lexington, and the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Lamba has three sons, Ishaan, Aryan, and Arjun. He is an avid golfer who enjoys travelling with friends to various golf courses. He also enjoys reading, meditating, mysticism, and spirituality.
