Dr. Steven Alter is a graduate at Cornell University and Boston University School of Medicine. He completed his orthopedic surgery training at the State University of New York, Downstate, and his upper extremity and hand surgery fellowship at New England Medical Center and New England Baptist Hospital. Dr. Alter is board-certified by the American board of orthopedic surgery and possesses the certificate of added qualifications in surgery of the Hand. He is a member of the American society for Surgery of the Hand. Dr. Alter has privileges at Emerson Hospital and Lowell General Hospital.
