A resident of Texas, Dr. Rahman attended Texas A&M University in College Station and Southern Methodist University in Dallas for her undergraduate studies. She then earned her doctor of medicine with honors from St. Matthews University School of Medicine in Grand Cayman Island. She completed her medical training at New York Methodist Hospital before coming back home to Texas.
Dr. Rahman is a member of the American College of Physicians, Texas Medical Association, Collin County Medical Society, and the American Medical Association. She is a recipient of the New York Methodist Hospital’s Best Clinical Documentation Improvement Award.
Dr. Rahman believes in giving back to her community. She is the medical director of the nonprofit Helping Hearts, Caring Souls in Plano. She volunteers at the health clinic at her local place of worship.
She was previously an American Sign Language volunteer interpreter at New York-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in Brooklyn.
