Dr. Scott E. Lee MD, MPH, FACS
Dr. Scott Lee MD MPH FACS is a board certified orbit, ophthalmic, and oculoplastic surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree from Brown University, MD-MPH from UCLA/Harvard as a joint degree program, residency in ophthalmology at UCSF, and fellowship at the renowned Sydney Eye Hospital.
Dr. Lee is a Castle Connolly top doctor, awarded to <1% of all ophthalmologists, San Francisco Magazine's Top Doctors Award recipient for the best physicians in the bay area, IAO top ophthalmologist- leading physicians of the world, as well as numerous other clinical awards. He is adjunct assistant professor at the Stanford School of Medicine, where in 2013 he won the Plager teaching award (Teacher/Professor of the year) for his teaching of the Stanford ophthalmology residents. Dr. Lee also holds a faculty appointment at the School of Public Health, UC Berkeley, where he teaches 2 courses: global public health and the epidemiology of eye disease. In addition, he serves as an examiner and diplomat for the American Board of Ophthalmology.
He is the founder and CEO of the non-profit iCare which is active in international medical missions work. iCare has taught surgeons and helped to develop sustainable surgical interventions in Bhutan, India, Haiti, Macedonia, China, Myanmar, Bolivia, Morocco, Cambodia, Swaziland, Kenya, and many other countries.
Dr. Lee is active in research and development of new technology in medicine, as partner and chief medical officer of 2 start-ups, and sits on 5 boards in Venture capital, non-profit, and other sectors.
