Dr. Lilker specializes in Foot Care in the Cancer Patient. He is the preferred Foot Doctor for Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Dr. Lilker completed an observership at Memorial Sloan Kettering. He has undergone extensive training with Dr. Lacouture from the Dept. of Dermatology, studying the secondary side effects of skin and nail changes from cancer therapy. With his observership, Dr. Lilker and his team have successfully published an article in the Journal of American Podiatric Medical Association. His team is also in the process of submitting a pilot study on therapeutic footwear for patients with chemotherapy-induced hand-foot syndrome. He is a pioneer podiatrist in skin and nail related issues of the foot in cancer patients. Dr. Lilker recently lectured at the New York College of Podiatric Medicine regarding the secondary effects of chemotherapy and other cancer drugs as it relates to the foot and ankle.
Dr. Lilker is a Preferred Medical Provider with the New York State Troopers. As a Police Surgeon, his priority is providing top care to Police State Troopers as well as local Police, Fire, and EMS departments. In his spare time, Dr. Lilker volunteers at many non-profit organizations. Dr. Lilker is a certified NYS Interior Firefighter and NYS EMT. Dr. Lilker is part of an onsite medical stand-by team during sporting events. Dr. Lilker also provides emergency care to his community and was instrumental during Hurricane Sandy relief efforts in keeping his community safe. Dr. Lilker received his doctorate from the New York College of Podiatric Medicine. He graduated with Honors in Pi Mu Delta National Podiatry Service Society and received the APMA Educational Foundation Scholarship for academic excellence.
