Dr. Phabillia Afflack, MD has been practicing Obstetrics and Gynecology since 2004. Starting her work in the NYC Metro area and then moving to sunny California in early August 2013.
She graduated medical school at Pennsylvania State College of Medicine Hershey and completed her Obstetrics and Gynecology residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center in New York, New York. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG).
Dr. Afflack’s love for Holistic Medicine and Holistic Obstetrics and Gynecology, began while in her college years living in Harlem. She was a dedicated member of the Caduceus Society, a philanthropic society for physicians, and was in charge of organizing community outreach programs. Three times a year, they would visit children at the Mother Hail House, a Harlem center for children born to addicts, and it was there that she learned the healing power of love. As a member of the American Women’s Association she also provided free breast examinations to women and invested time with those women who had been battered.
Above all, Dr. Afflack’s passion lies in the relational importance of Doctor/Patient care. She enjoys treating patients as a whole being and understanding that one's emotional suffering can manifest itself in physical pain. She admires that women are three-dimensional beings - mind, body, and spirit - and she recognizes the importance of treating them as such.
