She is a Cum Laude graduate of Phillips Academy Andover, Magna Cum Laude from Amherst College, with a B.A. in Neuroscience and English. After graduating AOA from New York Medical College, she trained in General Surgery at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston. She completed a vascular fellowship at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts and is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Muto is a Registered Vascular Technologist, a member of many professional organizations, including the American Vascular Society, the New England Society for Vascular Surgery, Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery, the American Venous Forum, and the Association of Women Surgeons. She has both presented and moderated at many national meetings.
Having exceptional training in both vascular and general surgery, Dr. Muto is proficient in complex surgical techniques as well as minimally invasive and laparoscopic surgery. She is dedicated to the improvement of women's health, including the treatment and screening for breast and colon cancer, the treatment of peripheral vascular disease, and stroke prevention. Her commitment to limb preservation led her to establish one of the first centers for wound care in the Merrimack Valley, offering patients some of the most up-to-date techniques in venous and arterial surgery. She is dedicated to educating the local medical community in the prevention and treatment of advanced venous disease.
Dr. Muto has been in solo private practice for over 25 years and is personally invested in the care of every one of her patients. With the support of her staff, her goal is to provide easy, prompt access to surgical consultation.
