Dr. was born in the city of Matera, Italy. He came to the USA when he was 6 years old with his family. He completed medical school in Cleveland, Ohio and was then awarded an extremely competitive residency in Scranton, Pennsylvania where he gained extensive training and experience in both trauma and elective reconstructive surgery of the foot and ankle. During this time, Dr. Pasquale Cancelliere developed a keen interest and passion for limb salvage surgery and external fixation surgery. He traveled to Russia during this time to obtain further training and has returned there several times to further his experience and skills at the Ilizarov Scientific Center in Kurgan, Russia. Also, Dr. Cancelliere completed a reconstructive foot surgery and wound healing fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts where he obtained more training in healing all types of wounds and served as Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Harvard Medical School. Dr. Cancelliere continues to travel extensively to conferences to stay up to date with innovative medical treatments and research. Dr. Cancelliere has lectured at several conferences nationally and internationally and served as the Chairman of Foot and Ankle Surgery Section of the World Conference of Orthopedics. He also has published several articles in medical journals and has developed a novel surgical technique.
