After graduating medical school in Virginia, I completed my medical training in Baltimore, first with an internal medicine residency (being awarded the position of Chief Resident, followed by a Research Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health culminating in a four year cardiology fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Entering practice in 1989, my initial interest in coronary artery disease has expanded to include obesity medicine, preventative cardiology (such as lipidology and cardiac rehabilitation) as well as to more advanced forms of heart disease such as heart failure. I look forward to seeing how I can use my training and experience to a broad spectrum of patients.
