Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

Dr. Landi practices in Buffalo, New York and West Palm Beach, Florida. He is originally from the Chicago area. Buffalo has been his home since 1988. He is a veteran of the United States Navy. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical and computer engineering and his Doctor of Medicine from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His training in general and neurological surgery were also completed in Buffalo, New York. Dr. Landi received additional specialized training in pediatric neurosurgery at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and training in gamma knife radiosurgery at the University of Pittsburgh. Dr. Landi is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgeons and the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners. He is the Chief of Neurological Surgery at Kenmore Mercy Hospital and the Director of the Spine Center. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University at Buffalo. Dr. Landi is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Medical Society of the State of New York, and the American Medical Association. He is licensed in medicine and surgery in the State of New York and Florida. Strong clinical and research interests in minimally invasive surgical techniques have resulted in numerous United States Patents and national awards for developing new technology. He is the inventor of the Minrad laser targeting system used in spine surgery. His research has been presented at national and international scientific meetings and published in scientific articles. Dr. Landi has received many honors including being recognized by Patient’s Choice, a recognition program where patients rate and vote for their favorite doctors.
