Dr. Plante shares his expertise through lecturing both locally and nationally on the latest techniques in ACL reconstruction and rotator cuff surgery, and he has been named an Associate Master Instructor by the Arthroscopy Association of North America. Additionally, he has published numerous articles and book chapters focusing on a variety of orthopedic trauma and sports medicine topics. He also co-directs a shoulder and knee arthroscopy course for engineers at the Depuy Mitek Learning Institute.
His approach to managing orthopedic injuries is a conservative one. When surgery is necessary, he explains the procedure in detail and takes the time to answer all questions. He performs all surgeries in their entirety, including skin closure. Following surgery, he supervises all aspects of postoperative rehabilitation to assure his patients the best possible outcome.
