Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

About Kathleen Slugocki, DO
Dr. Kathleen Slugocki is a board certified obstetrician & gynecologist. Dr. Slugocki’s areas of interest include general obstetrics and gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, adolescent/teen healthcare, and postpartum depression. Dr. Slugocki believes we have much more to learn about postpartum depression. She dedicated a year of her time doing research in hopes that someday we can better prevent and treat postpartum depression. 

Dr. Slugocki grew up in Oak Lawn, Illinois and graduated from St. Xavier University. She went to medical school at Midwestern University in Downers Grove graduating in 2004. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine in 2008.

Dr. Slugocki joined Women’s Healthcare of Illinois in 2008. Currently, she is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Medicine. She is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists.

Dr. Slugocki lives in the Mokena area with her husband and twins. In high school Dr. Slugocki performed in her school’s theater programs. She still enjoys musical theater and her favorite performances are Rent and Les Miserables. Dr. Slugocki is very supportive of medical mission trips. She has been to Costa Rica and hopes to go on more mission trips in the future.
