Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

About Kamilia Smith, MD
Kamilia Smith, M.D. founded Charleston House in 2019. Drawing on nearly two decades of medical experience, she set out to bridge the gap that exists in women’s healthcare beyond pregnancy.

Dr. Smith is Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Previously, she co-founded Magnolia Obstetrics & Gynecology of Dallas at Baylor University Medical Center where she practiced for twelve years, consulting and caring for more than 6,000 patients during that time.

With a focus on individualized care, she educates and empowers her patients to advocate for themselves and equips each woman with the tools to help manage her unique health needs.

She completed her residency at Baylor University Medical Center in 2007 following her graduation from Texas A&M College of Medicine. A native Texan, she has also served the women of Texas by advocating for improved healthcare policies at the state and federal levels.

Kamilia resides in the Lakewood area with her husband and three children. Motherhood is one of her highest callings and it inspires her daily, both personally and professionally. She considers serving the women in her community a true privilege.
