Dr. Washington is a compassionate dentist whose main goal is to improve oral health in Houston and the surrounding areas. Dr. Washington is a graduate of Hampton University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and graduated with honors. After his matriculation at Hampton, Dr. Washington knew that he wanted to figure out a way to solve many problems in the health of the community. He continued his education by earning his Master of Public Health degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School where he was inducted in the Delta Omega Honor Society for his academic excellence and community service. Based on the need he saw in the community for oral healthcare professionals, he embarked on his dental education at Meharry Medical College where he graduated with honors. After graduating from Meharry, Dr. Washington completed a 1-year general practice residency with the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston where he received extensive training in treating medically compromised patients, extensive surgical procedures and all aspects of cosmetic dentistry. He is trained in all aspects of sedation dentistry including Nitrous Oxide/Oxygen (laughing gas), oral sedation and IV sedation. Dr. Washington received extensive training in implant placement and restoration using the latest technology available. He is also trained in OR procedures for those complicated cases where the patient would be totally asleep during treatment. His excellent work during his residency was highlighted as he was awarded 1 of only 2 excellence awards given to GPR residents that year. Dr. Washington is a devoted Christian and family man. He is married to a pediatric nurse practitioner and is the proud father of three wonderful children
