Dr. Patel is board certified in Allergy and Immunology, Rheumatology and Internal Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Chemistry from Tulane University and her Doctor of Medicine degree from Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans. After completing her Internal Medicine residency, she pursued a dual Immunology, Allergy and Rheumatology fellowship and Certificate of Added Qualification in Clinical Investigation at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. She served as Chief of Rheumatology at Ben Taub Hospital, and Assistant Professor and Associate Program director in the Section of Immunology, Allergy & Rheumatology at Baylor College of Medicine. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology (FAAAAI) and a Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology (FACR).
