Internship and residency followed at the nationally recognized St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, New Jersey, where Dr. Scaffidi culminated his training by serving as chief resident. During this time, he participated in research and published several papers on various topics concerning obstetrics, gynecology and reproductive medicine as well as serving as both the state and national district III as representative for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
Since then, Dr. Scaffidi has been in private practice committed to training other professionals by teaching residents, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants. He has also extensively lectured on multiple topics in the fields of obstetrics, gynecology, and bariatrics to physicians, nurses, and the general public, while furthering his education on a constant basis with the sole purpose of improving others' lives.
