The Seacoast Surgery team is exceptional and their motivation is to provide accessible, evidence-based, high quality & compassionate treatment of the patients entrusted to their care.
Dr. Thurlow is very enthusiastic about this next opportunity to expand his unique practice to the Newburyport area and work with the wonderful people who make up the Anna Jaques family which he is privileged to join. Expanding his accessibility to patients throughout New England for advice, guidance, support, recommendations and second opinions via telemedicine has been a long-term goal for Dr. Thurlow. He truly enjoys spending time with patients, educating and informing them about their surgical illness and how to manage it. He has colleagues from Portland, Maine to Boston, Massachusetts with whom he collaborates and he can assist patients and their families in their navigation through this complex health care system.
Dr. Thurlow helps to 'close the gap' between a diagnosis and treatment which is often unfortunately prolonged. His advocacy for patients is legendary. While this venue is an opportunity for patients to seek general advice and guidance, Dr. Thurlow also performs a myriad of surgical procedures at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, should a patient require a procedure. This renowned institution has exceptional facilities and equipment, and wonderful administrative, medical, nursing and support staff comparable to the Boston hospitals for most of the common health problems encountered in clinical practice. Having trained in Boston, Dr. Thurlow has relationships with specialists and subspecialists at all of the major medical centers in Boston and can help patients and their loved ones find the best possible resources for them if necessary.
