Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

About Jane Murray, MD
Dr. Jane Murray earned her undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of California at Los Angeles. Her residency in family medicine was completed at Santa Monica Hospital in Southern California. She has been involved in teaching and practicing medicine for over 30 years, as well as providing medical leadership as Director of Education for the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) from 1986-1991 and as Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the University of Kansas Medical Center from 1991-1998. In 1998, she founded the Sastun Center of Integrative Health Care in Overland Park, KS, where she worked with colleagues from a variety of healing arts, and uses natural therapies whenever possible. In 2018 she “rewired” and downsized her practice to offer functional medicine consultations to individuals and organizations, and work with individuals on lifestyle approaches to preventing cognitive decline.

She continues to provide direct care to patients; teach students, residents and practicing physicians; and speaks widely to national audiences about functional medicine, cognitive decline,and about integrating conventional Western medicine with other healing practices.
