His practice focuses on primary care, preventative care, cholesterol disorders and the treatment of obesity. After earning a Bachelor's degree in Biology at Walsh College in Canton, Ohio, Dr. Fretwell attended The University of Akron and received a Master's degree in Biology before continuing on to medical school. He received his Doctoral degree in Medicine in 1994 from The Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine. Dr. Fretwell completed his residency in Family Medicine at Barberton Citizens Hospital in Barberton, Ohio.
Dr. Fretwell is a member of the Colorado Medical Society, and Board Certified with the American Board of Family Medicine. He serves as an Associate Clinical Professor with The University of Colorado School of Medicine, He is on the Medical Staff at Longmont United Hospital and UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital. He is a lipid Specialist, and Diplomate of the American Board of Clinical Lipidology. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Obesity Medicine.
