Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

Gold Coast Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation was founded by Dr. Jacob Michael Morgenstern. The practice was founded in Chicago’s Gold Coast region, thus the name Gold Coast Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation. Dr. Morgenstern has been practicing Orthopaedic surgery and orthopeadic medicine for over 30 years. Due to the ever increasing incidences of orthopaedic injuries ranging from sporting to work accidents, Dr. Morgenstern saw a need for quality care providers who can serve as champions of good health and push for optimal rehabilitation in order to restore and retain maximum functionality amongst the population. In 2016, Dr. Morgenstern assembled a team of great minds with a great cumulative number of years of experience in the health care industry.

Our Providers specialize in the area of orthopaedics. We pay close attention to our patient’s care, taking into account not just the physical but rather the whole. We work closely with occupational injuries and workman’s compensation cases. Our providers and therapists works diligently integrating skills, knowledge and evidenced based practice in order to achieve and maintain optimal health.
