Dr. Carabin graduated with a Medical Doctor (M.D.) degree from Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York, NY in 1986. She underwent a 2-year General surgery training at North Shore University Hospital (affiliate of Cornell University), Manhasset, NY & then a 3-year training in Otolaryngology, Head & Neck Surgery, Facial Plastic Surgery, The Mount Sinai Medical Center, New York, NY and affiliated hospitals (Bronx VA Medical Center and Elmhurst Hospital Center), graduating this most prestigious program in 1991. Since then, in addition to clinical practice, Dr. Carabin lectured & published extensively & held a position of Assistant Professor of Medical Education, University of Central Florida, College of Medicine, Department of Medical Education, Orlando, FL between 2009 and 2012. In the last 10 years, Dr. Carabin has been practicing in Key West & developed the most successful ENT practice in the Florida Keys, attending to general ENT problems including, but not limited to sinuses, headaches, nasal obstruction & snoring, throat & voice issues, ear infection & hearing problems, allergy testing & treatment and sleep disorders testing & treatment. With the only sleep lab in the mid- and lower Keys, Dr. Carabin tested & treated hundreds of patients during the past decade. Additionally, the practice has expertise in evaluating pre- and malignant skin conditions & treating them either medically (i.e., Photodynamic therapy [PDT]) or surgically. The practice continues to accept new patients & is committed to getting patients well as quickly as possible.
