Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

About Franklyn Gergits, DO
Franklyn Gergits, DO, MS, is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat surgeon with fellowship training in otolaryngic allergy. At Sinus & Allergy Wellness Center in Fountain Hills and Scottsdale, Arizona, he proudly offers state-of-the-art solutions for sinus and nasal problems, including balloon sinuplasty for chronic sinusitis. He was the first doctor in Pennsylvania to perform the procedure. Dr. Gergits also provides expert allergy testing and treatment and helps patients with ear infections, snoring, and sleep apnea.

The cornerstone of Dr. Gergits’ practice is providing the compassionate care each patient deserves. He welcomes new and existing patients at both convenient locations of Sinus & Allergy Wellness Center.

After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, Dr. Gergits received a Master of Science in Biochemistry from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. From there, he entered the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine.

After finishing an internship at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in Pontiac, Michigan, he went back to the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, where he completed residency training in pediatric and adult general otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic surgery. From there, he went to St. John Macomb-Oakland Hospital in Madison Heights, Michigan, to complete a fellowship in otolaryngic allergy.

Dr. Gergits is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Ophthalmology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery/Facial Plastic Surgery/Otolaryngic Allergy. He’s also a Fellow of the American Osteopathic College of Otolaryngology.

Dr. Gergits maintains active membership in numerous professional organizations. He has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals and abstracts on topics such as urticaria, angioedema, and pulmonary mechanics in neonates. He also served as a principal investigator in the TREAT Study, which was run by Aventis Pharma. He’s the proud recipient of the Philadelphia County Medical Society’s Humaneness in Medicine award.
