I obtained my medical degree at the University of Nigeria and moved to the United States to undergo further studies at Howard University Hospital, Washington DC and then completing Family Medicine residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Chicago. After graduation, I moved to Minnesota, having been employed by HealthPartners which is the largest healthcare organization in the state. At HealthPartners, in addition to my primary role as a provider, I had the opportunity on participating in other leadership role for the clinic and the organization as a whole and was nominated in 2008 and 2009 for the prestigious Family Medicine of the year awards. In 2015, I moved to Texas in search of a warmer climate and decided to become independent. The decision to start my own practice is born out of a sense that the unique relationship between a provider and patient is lost in bigger organizations. That connection that drove me into primary care of getting to know my patients individually became an illusion as we sought to improve numbers and goals and ignored the care and compassion deserving of our profession. I have found that satisfaction providing quality care to the patients that walk into my office any day.
