About Edward Timmins, DO
Dr. Edward Timmins is a Board Certified General Surgeon who specializes in advanced laparoscopic surgery, benign and malignant breast diseases, as well as gastrointestinal and abdominal surgeries. A native of the area, Dr. Timmins grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree. Returning to Long Island, he attended The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury. He then received his surgical training at Nassau County Medical Center. After residency, Dr. Timmins joined Great South Bay Surgical Associates in 1998. While with the group, Dr. Timmins has developed expertise in many areas of General Surgery. He has particular interest in hernia repair and minimally invasive surgery.
