About David Alevi, MD
Dr. Alevi graduated Magna Cum Laude as a presidential honor scholar from New York University combined BA/MD program. During that time, he was also a Howard Hughes research fellow. Afterwards, he trained in Ophthalmology at Nassau University Medical Center and became Chief resident during his final year. In addition, he spent another year doing specialized training in Cornea and Refractive surgery at Ophthalmic Consultants of Long Island. He is a published author and has had his talks featured in major Ophthalmology journals.
Dr. Alevi is a Corneal and refractive surgeon with interest in laser assisted cataract (femtosecond laser), lasik, pterygiums, cornea transplants, and dry eye disease. Dr. Alevi is a second degree black belt who at one point was the National Soo Bahk Do Sparring champion. He enjoys jogging, watching sports, and spending time with his family.
