Dr. Dannell Anschuetz has been an integral part of Advanced Orthopaedics since she completed our minimally invasive Spine Surgery (MISS) Fellowship in September of 2005. Having graduated from the University of Tennessee in 1982 with a Zoology degree, Dr. Anschuetz attended graduate school at the University of Texas-Arlington in 1992. Dr. Anschuetz was awarded the Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine in Biddeford, Maine in 1992. She then pursued a residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, starting at Saint Frances General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for her internship. Her second year she trained at Pitt County Memorial Hospital – East Carolina University School of Medicine in Greenville, North Carolina where she graduated with Honors. In 2000, Dr. Anschuetz graduated from residency training at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia. After residency, Dr. Anschuetz worked in private practice in Norfolk and as a staff physician at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Miami, Florida until she began her fellowship at Advanced Orthopaedics. Dr. Anschuetz is Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Board Certified in Pain Medicine by the American Board of Medical Specialties. She is also a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Osteopathic Association, Gamma Beta Phi-Honor Society and the Chem U Society.
