After undergraduate studies at Emory University, he worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta Georgia for two years where he was actively involved in research studying the effects of environmental toxins on health at the National Center for Environmental Health before finishing his medical school at NOVA Southeastern University.
Subsequently, he successfully completed his medical training at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville Florida and is double board certified in Family Medicine as well as Integrative Holistic Medicine. In addition, he is certified as one of the first groups of global practitioners of the Institute of Functional Medicine.
Born and raised in Germany, Dr. Kessler grew up and witnessed first hand in his parents' clinic (one of the leading functional medicine practices in Europe), how functional medicine made a difference in the health of patients and he also believes medications are not always the answer

When he does not compete in international table tennis tournaments or writes his own music on his piano, he enjoys spending time with his family
