Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

About Avni Dhaliwal, DDS
Dr. Avni Patel Dhaliwal believes that a dental practice should focus on quality, compassion and education of the patient. It’s this philosophy that led her to open her own private office, West Maitland Dentistry. Owning her own practice allows her to have the freedom to take the time to involve each patient in having an active role in their oral health. Through showing every patient pictures of their teeth, x-rays, and with thorough exams that include oral cancer screenings, she makes sure that patients are aware of exactly what is going on in their mouth. Raised in the foothills of North Carolina, she received her undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She decided to continue her education at UNC’s top ranked dental school and obtained her Doctor in Dental Surgery from there in 2009. Dr. Dhaliwal has a passion for lifelong education and makes sure she is up to date with current advances in dentistry by taking continuing education courses as well as being a member of the Central Florida Women’s Study Club. Throughout her 10 years of practice Dr. Dhaliwal has enjoyed giving back to her community. She has devoted her free time and resources to help the underserved population. She enjoys participating in Mission of Mercy clinics, where she provides dental treatment to those who cannot afford it. She was awarded the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship for implementing an oral healthcare program for geriatric populations residing in assisted living facilities. One of her most memorable experiences was a mission trip to Mexico where she provided free dental care to children at an orphanage. She strives to bring this type of compassion to every patient she encounters and makes sure their experience is as comfortable and relaxing as possible. Dr. Dhaliwal is Invisalign certified. She is an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, American Dental Association, Florida Dental Association and the Dental Society of Greater Orlando. She had the honor of being voted as one of the Top Dentist of 2019 by Orlando Style Magazine.
