Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

Dr. Hacobian received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology with honors from Boston University and continued at BU to obtain a Master's degree in Vascular Physiology. After receiving her medical degree in 1990 from Boston University, she completed her internship in Internal Medicine at Cornell Medical School, Memorial Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York.

After completing her residency in Anesthesia and Critical Care at Beth Israel Hospital, Harvard Medical School in 1995, Dr. Hacobian completed her fellowship training in Pain Management at the Beth Israel and Massachusetts General Hospital in 1995. She is board certified in Pain Management and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Dr. Hacobian joined ISM in 1995. From 1996 to 2008 she also served on the staff of Massachusetts General Hospital Pain Center and was a Senior Pain Consultant at the Lahey Clinic until February of 2000. At ISM she sees patients in our Rye and Plaistow facilities.
During her many years of medical research she has published peer-reviewed papers on cell biology, anesthesia and pain management. She was awarded the Fellow of Interventional Pain Physician certificate by the World Institute of Pain in Budapest, Hungary in September 2007 and has lectured nationally and internationally on pain management.
