About Amjad Awan, MD
Dr. Awan completed residency at the University of North Carolina, and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology and Liver Diseases at the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque. He also completed surgical training from the Royal College of Surgeons in England, which enhances his ability to evaluate and treat his patients in the field of Gastroenterology. After teaching appointment at the University of New Mexico, he started a private practice in Denton County, Texas, in 2000. He has been in the area for over 17 years. He has successfully performed over 28,000 endoscopic procedures and has served the digestive health needs of over 30,000 patients in Denton . Dr. Awan is board certified in Gastroenterology and takes pride in providing professional and compassionate care for his patients.
