Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

Dr. Shraga completed undergraduate studies at Brown University, a Masters in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins University School of Public Health, and Medical School at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He completed residency training in Dermatology at New York Medical College. Dr. Shraga has received numerous awards and honors throughout his education and training. He has co-authored a textbook chapter and has published articles in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the journal of Skin and Aging. He has delivered presentations at the New York Academy of Medicine and at the annual national meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology.

Dr. Shraga is a Board-Certified Dermatologist; Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology; American Society for Dermatologic Surgery; Affiliate Member of the American Society for Mohs Surgery; Member of the International Society of Teledermatology; American Acne and Rosacea Society; and National Psoriasis Foundation. He completed the Telehealth Certificate Program from the American Board of Telehealth.

Dr. Shraga has been named Top Doctor for several years by NJ Top Docs; Castle Connolly New York Magazine; and New Jersey Monthly Magazine. He lives with his wife and 4 children. Outside of work, he likes to exercise, go on hikes (with proper sun protection of course!), read, learn new things, and spend time with his family.
