Frequently Asked Questions

Every doctor is vetted and credentialed before joining UBERDOC. Doctors must be board certified and have an active medical license in the state they are providing services. Exceptions are made for Psychologists, Dentists and Optometrists as these specialties do not require board certifications.

Doctors choose their appointment fee based on specialty and geography. The average cost is $250. You pay $50 when your appointment is confirmed, and the remaining after the completion of the visit.

Included in your UBERDOC appointment is an initial consultation. Any subsequent care or treatment can be through insurance.

If you choose a doctor who is a Medicare provider, you may need to only pay $50 for you UBERDOC appointment. Please discuss with your doctor directly to see if you are eligible.

UBERDOC works outside insurance. Your UBERDOC appointment can be paid for with your HSA, FSA or major credit card. If the doctor is in your insurance network, any subsequent consults, lab tests, procedures and follow-up appointments can be paid for by insurance.

About Ahmed Maki, DO
Dr. Maki is a Dual-Board Certified surgeon with an impressive list of academic and professional achievements. He has completed a five year residency through Michigan State University in Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery and furthered his training with a General Cosmetic Surgery fellowship through Vincent Surgical Arts, a fellowship accredited through the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Maki is Board Certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology/Facial Plastic Surgery, American Board of Cosmetic Surgery and American Board of Facial Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Maki obtained his medical degree from A.T. Still University of Health Sciences in Missouri and finished at the top of his class. During his 4th year of medical school, he was privileged enough to rotate with many of the best facial plastic surgeons in the world.

After completing a One year General Surgery internship, Dr. Maki further pursued his interests in Head and Neck Surgery/Facial Plastic Surgery through Michigan State University, one of the top programs in ENT and Facial Plastic Surgery. He was privileged enough to work with Dr. Ted Golden, a graduate of the world famous Eugene Tardy, and one of the most distinguished rhinoplasty surgeons in the world. He then completed a fellowship in General Cosmetic Surgery under the guidance of the distinguished Dr. Drake Vincent, founder of the Swift Lift face lift in Salt Lake City, UT.
